The big news us that the toilet training us going really well, bar the odd ‘accident’ Ally is really enjoying life in pants! Not sure how to represent toilet training in photo form though! Ally and Stuart continue to get on like a house on fire and have even taken to sharing baths!

Ok, its not the most delightful of subjects, but Ally did his first ever poo on the toilet during a visit to Grandmas house at the weekend. Rumours that this is because she scares the s*** out of him are untrue! (Sorry, couldn’t resist). Hopefully this will catch on, because at the moment Ally likes privacy for his number two’s – which means mum and dad are basnished from whatever room he has chosen to stink out.

In other news, Aunty Hannah has embarked on a trip around the country – http://leapinthedark.org. Little brother Stuart – http://stuartkerr.net - has learned to roll over.

After a lengthy discussion on Saturday night¬†and much careful thought¬†on Sunday we got a cat! His name is Smudgie and he’s very friendly. Not convinced he’s that thrilled with Alistair as he runs away when he sees Ally coming. But their initial meeting was very sweet because Ally realising that Smudgie was scared got him a car to play with and left him to it.

Ally actually had several birthday parties, and much to his delight – several cakes too!

The big hit was the new bike – no pedals yet, but that doesn’t stop him! Thanks to everyone for the millions of gifts!

Alistair finally found out why mum had been getting so fat for the last few months – it turns out she’s made a brand new toy for him that everyone keeps telling him is his little brother called Stuart! Ok, we’ve been very bad at updating the website – I promise to keep it up to date a bit more, I just need to find some time to fix a couple of bugs and then we’ll be away!

So whats new? Alistair has ‘moved up’ to the big room at nursery and after a week of not really enjoying it he seems to have got into the swing of things. There have been no tantrums anyway for a while when I’ve dropped him off and Mum says he looks pretty happy when she turns up to collect him.

The bars have come off the bed! Whats better is that this doesn’t seem to have affected his sleep either so we’re all very happy about that!

Childrens TV has become very popular in the Kerr household these days – Ally can even switch the telly on himself (no mean feat as those of you who have tried will know) to watch ‘Beebies’. Favourite programs at the moment are ‘In the night Garden’, Bob the Builder, Timmy Time and NumberJacks. What a waste of a good telly!!

We got the scalectrix out at the weekend – a happier 2 year old has never been known! Unfortunately the tears that accompanied putting it away kind of spoiled the fun

This weekend mum and Ally spent Friday – Sun in Ravensthorpe with Grandma jones while dad lost some money at a poker night, painted the living room, and got two long lies in a row!!
Alistair has apparently decided that he’ll be calling Lorna ‘Nana’ rather than Grandma – lets see what title Granny Kerr gets when she and great granny come down to visit this weekend!
